Oversteps News 47  May 2017

A Troubling Woman by A C Clarke (ISBN 978-1-906856-72-4), price £8 plus p&p.

Oversteps has published two previous collections by A C Clarke: ‘Messages of Change’ (2008) and ‘Fr Meslier’s Confession’ (2012). We greatly admire the work of this poet, and are pleased to be publishing her latest collection which focuses on the strange medieval woman, Margery Kempe.  As with the previous ‘Father Meslier’s Confession’, the poems here are in different voices, in this case Margery Kempe herself, her scribe, Robert Spryngolde, her confessor, and a modern agnostic woman.

This important new book, as well as many other Oversteps books, can be purchased through the Oversteps website.

Because of the huge number of submissions we receive, both from new poets and from poets we have published before, we are not able to accept any new submissions at present. When I have caught up with some of the fantastic poets who are waiting for their work to be published, I’ll make it known that we are open for submissions again. I hope this does not disappoint too many poets.

best wishes

Alwyn
